Donovan Welch Practice Log 1

Monday, Warmed up and worked on Rep Tuesday, Warmed up and worked on rep Wed, Warmed up and worked on Rep] Thursday, Did voice lesson Friday 1 hour practice

Borchert Week 2

Wednesday - Lesson Thursday - 45 minutes practice. I worked on finding the placement we discussed in my lesson for Lasciatemi. Friday - 45 minute practice. Lasciatemi along with looking at Goodnight Moon and getting the melody down of that. Monday - 30 minute practice. Voice was extremely "dry" and I really struggled in my warm up. Thus, I just did a really easy/gentle practice. Tuesday - 60 minute practice. Still struggling with "dry" feeling with my voice, but I actually sang repertoire today so its an improvement.

Grob - Week 1

Thursday, 9/3     - I spent a half hour looking for repertoire and trying to piece together my Capstone project.  Rest of week notes: - My mid range, especially between C3-C4, feels very heavy and if I sing in that range consistently for even 10 minutes it wears out my voice REALLY quickly.  - I sang some choir hymns with my family this weekend and my voice was shot after about 15 minutes.  - I worked with the vocalizes every day for at least 5 minutes, trying to loosen it up from feeling so tight.

Borchert Week 1

Lesson Wednesday  60 minute practice Thursday - worked on the new warmups and techniques we practiced in my lesson.  45 minutes Friday practice. Trying to figure out best way to practice when we were advised to wear a mask in the practice room. I was able to sing Lasciatemi from memory, which I’ll document on Marco Polo soon!  30 minutes of just warming up and playing around with rep. on Monday 60 minutes practice with lasciatemi and Marco Poloing progress.
